I was invited to photograph Guizhou last month and found the province to be quite different than I expected. Unfortunately it was raining while there, and I didn’t have my usual planning (In fact I traveled in a group to preselected places, which is far from my usual method of excursions in China.) so the(…)
So, I’ve been busy lately. Really. I have completed the second edition of my Dongguan, China 中国东莞 second edition book, printing now, and traveling to one of the far corners of China, northern Yunnan. Specifically Shangri-La and Deqin/Feilai. I have traveled here due to the brilliant Tibetan culture thriving in the area and the spectacular(…)
Luoping has many known and visited things. Here I hope to share with you a few lesser known images.
When one searched Google for Luoping, they will find plenty of images like the following, however, I worked to give a variance to anything you might see from a different source.
One of my favorite things while on excursion around China is meeting the people. I had a blast visiting with special people the various villages I visited. Here are just a few images of the people I think of when I think of Luoping.

Earlier this year, I traveled to southern portions of Yunnan, China on a photography expedition and one of the stops was Shilin, home of the Stone Forest. Go Kunming has decided to share some of my images along with very insightful information on the Stone Forest(…)

I often use textures in Photoshop to give a “textured” feeling where there might be none (But I want there(…)

I’ve decided to give those who visit my website the first views of my excursion to Hunan. The images below represent a very small portion of what will be following in the near future. Sign up for the newsletter, check back often, and enjoy the China Photography!
