Often when people think of China, they think of impressive buildings, colorful decorations, and spectacular skylines. This gallery from China photographer Adam Crase will give you a sense of the beauty within Chinese Architecture.
Thanks www.GoKunming.com for featuring my images on your site! Earlier this year, I traveled to southern portions of Yunnan, China on a photography expedition and one of the stops was Shilin, home of the Stone Forest. Taking a few days in July to visit Tianmen Shan in Zhangjiajie, Hunan China was a real treat. Zhangjiajie is famous for being one of the locations scouted for and inspiring the Hallelujah Mountains in the movie Avatar, so it’s a MUST SEE in Hunan. Zhangjiajie is really split into a few sections but mainly […]
One of the most beloved geological areas of China is the Stone Forest of Shilin (Near Kunming.) Yunnan. We’ve long loved Magic Lantern for it’s ability to do amazing things with the Canon 5D Mark ii, and they have really stepped up their game with the Canon 5D Mark iii (And to an extent the Canon 7D.). According to the Magic Lantern forum page detailing the new Dual ISO firmware, the new Magic […]
Some dude in Japan has created a robot that does gymnastics. It’s quite a nimble little guy. It seems he’s trying to make a life-sized version as well. He’s using a 2-axis acceleration sensor in the head. The sensors main job is to measure gravity, depending on the angle of rotation. The angles were divided […]
Fenghuang City (凤凰县), which means Phoenix City, is a marvelously preserved ancient town nestled in the mountains in China’s central Hunan province. The scenery in and around this ancient town seems unreal and magical with the stilted buildings along the Tuojiang river being the most famous. This town is a MUST SEE for anyone going […]
